Midwinter Expedition 1996

1995 was the first year I went winter mountaineering on the Wiltshire Scouting Midwinter Expedition, and I followed it up in 1996 by going on the trip again.

In 1996 the trip was to the Peak District, the weather was just as cold as the year before and we spent endless hours walking around on top of Kinderscout looking for wrecked aircraft (some of the very old wreckage shown in a photo below) during whiteout conditions. There were other days with other hikes but that is all I can remember now; sadly I didn't keep as good a diary as in 1995 and I lost my photo albums several years ago, so I'm afraid all I have is this large random collection of photos, enjoy!
