Glencoe - May 2008

2008 was my leanest year yet for mountaineering, but then again I did become a Dad in the Summer. However on the first bank holiday in May 2008 we celebrated Rob's forthcoming wedding in the usual fashion, with a Stag Do!

We stayed at the Inchree Hostel, did some mountain biking (no photos), some drinking, some BBQing and of course some mountaineering.

We missed the late snow by a week, but Rob still managed to find a little real snow on the top of the Buckle. The photo's (below) are of Gary Jools and I on the Aonach Eagach. Jools hadn't done the route before, and sadly we didn't finish as high winds and rain blew in. Of course just as we were going back down the way we came it stopped.
